     My thoughts of you still flicker
     Although I lie in another's arms.
     I think of you with longing
     Only when my heart is cold and dark.
     Would you have loved me
     The way he loves me?
     Would you have stirred my passions
     With the intensity he gives?
     Would you have cared for me
     Through the wind and rain?
     Would you have held my hand
     During the labor pains?
     Could the future we might have had
     Ever matched the love I have from him?
